Everything I need to know, I learned from Noah's Ark.

ONE: Don't miss the boat.
TWO: Remember that we are all in the same boat.
THREE: Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.
FOUR: Stay fit. When you're 60 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.
FIVE: Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.
SIX: Build your future on high ground.
SEVEN: For safety's sake, travel in pairs.
EIGHT: Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.
NINE: When you're stressed, float awhile.
TEN: Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.
ELEVEN: No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting.

From one pumpkin to another!!!!!!!

A woman was asked by a coworker, "What is it like to be a Christian?"
The coworker replied, "It is like being a pumpkin."
God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you.
Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff.He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed.
Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see."

For of Him and through Him and to Him are all transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 11:36; 12:2

Faith means being grasped by a power that is greater than we are; a power that shakes us and turns us, and transforms and heals us.

I dont how many of you watched the space shuttle "Discovery" land this morning, but for those of you that didnt, it was so inspiring. I sat on the couch with my coffee in hand, and watched it land. I had butterflies and prayed for the crew for a safe landing. It was such a great feeling when it finally landed safely. I just cant imagine the feelings that each astronaut was feeling when they touch ground. AWESOME.....

Well, as of yesterday, my kids are back in school. It was good to get back to my regular reutine. I have to admit, summers are hard on me. The stress of children arguing, aggravating and down right fighting is hard to deal with everyday. I found myself cranky quite often and felt guilty for being that way. But sometimes a mother can only handle so much. I dont love them any less, its not their fault that the schools give way too much time off in the summer and that they have so much time on their hands to get extremely bored. I think that one month off for summer break is plenty. After the third week, theyre at each other every chance they get because they have nothing better to do. Maybe I dont always understand their boredom since I was an only child and always found something to do to occupy myself. And the bickering and what not that they do isnt easy for me to deal with since I didnt have any siblings to do that with. If anyone has any ideas of things to do while children are on breaks from school, please share them with me. And I'm really needing ideas that dont cost an arm and a leg to do. HEEHEE! And let me know if anyone has dealt with the cranky feeling of being a at home summer mom of more than one kid. Have a GREAT day everyone......

Isn't life glorious! Isn't it grand!
Here--take it--hold it tight in your hand;
Squeeze every drop of it into your soul,
Drink of the joy of it, sun-sweet and whole!
Laugh with the love of it, burst into song!
Scatter its richness as you stride along!
Isn't life slendid--and isn't it great
We can always start living--it's never too late!

O LORD, I need to know that you are you!
I need to have a glorious God in view;
To see your plans, so infinite and wise,
I need a mighty God before my eyes.
Show me your glory! Show yourself anew;
Lord, open up my eyes of faith to you.
So often, when I face which way to go
The problems seem to multiply and grow;
I do not see you standing, waiting, there,
So full of power for me, to do, to dare!
Show me your glory! Show yourself anew;
Lord, open up my eyes of faith to you.
O God, I know that in my present state
I could not stand the sight of you, so great;
Yet even now, the smallest glimpse is bright
Enough to bathe my soul in dazzling light!
Show me your glory! Show yourself anew;
Lord, open up my eyes of faith to you.

Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Go outside, whatever the weather. Bundle up if its cold, take an umbrella for rain or put on shorts for a sunny summer day. Look around you and take specific notice of five things of beauty created by God for you to enjoy. You may see mist over a pond, red tomatoes on a green vine, sparkles of white snow in the sun, your childs face. Whatever. Just take the time to notice. Beauty is there. Let it refresh and restore you.

I spend alot of time outside sitting on my porch. There are so many things that God has created that we take for granted. During the day I watch the butterflies, and at night I watch the lightening bugs twinkle all over my yard. Life is too precious not to notice the beautiful creations that God has blessed us with. Like the saying goes, "Take time to smell the roses"......

Go Godward; thou wilt find a road.

Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it." Isaiah 30:21
